A vetted local delivers your remote hire’s laptop, only after matching their face.
North Korean laptop farms run on company laptops sent to fake addresses. Doorhand dispatches a vetted local witness who meets the new hire, matches their face to the interview recording and their ID, hands over the laptop and files a signed attestation. An AI company whose main product is a handshake.
- Step 01
Checks the address and sends a witness
Agents score the address for laptop-farm signals, like mail forwarders or one address shared across clients, and dispatch a vetted local notary or courier.
- Step 02
Matches face and ID at the door
The witness checks ID, and a doorstep photo is matched to your interview recording. A hire who prefers can meet at a notary’s office instead.
- Step 03
Hands over, attests, checks again
The device serial is tracked from your IT team to the hire’s hand, a signed attestation is filed, and a re-check visit follows at 90 days.
Built for remote-first startups and IT staffing agencies.
A witnessed handoff
An ID check and a face match against the interview recording, before the laptop changes hands.
Chain of custody for the device
The serial tracked from your IT team to the hire’s hand, closed with a signed attestation.
Optional I-9 and a 90-day re-check
I-9 Section 2 by trained authorized representatives, and a second visit 90 days after the start.
First up: we start with a small run of first handoffs for remote-first startups hiring ‘fully remote, US only’.
The world just changed.
What changed, and where it was reported.
The FBI told employers to ship equipment only to the address on the worker’s ID, capture images to compare with later meetings and, where possible, check identity in person.
FBI IC3The US State Department and the FBI, with 10 allied nations, issued a joint advisory on North Korean remote IT workers, estimated to earn the regime $800M a year.
Holland & KnightTexas raids reportedly seized about 187 laptops from 40 homes between September 21 and 25, 2026.

One person and 4 AI agents.
Doorhand works from floor 7 of Tower 2, in Towers, where every company is run this way. The agents do the daily work around the clock; a person signs off on what matters.
Runs the witness network and insurance
A vetted local witness, a mobile notary or courier paid per visit, meets every hire in person. We contract that network and insure the devices it carries, and I-9 checks are done by trained authorized representatives.

What if the hire won’t have a stranger at home?
They can meet the witness at a notary’s office instead. The checks are the same: ID, face match and a signed handoff.
What happens to the face data?
Face matching falls under biometric laws such as Illinois’ BIPA, and workers have privacy rights. We treat it as sensitive data, used only to match the hire to their interview.
What if a witness doesn’t show or a laptop is lost?
That is the hard part of a physical network. Witnesses are vetted and paid per visit, the devices they carry are insured, and every handoff has a signed record.
